Government Support for Biofuels
Enertec™ and biodiesel as a bio fuel are evolving at the forefront of the rapidly growing Clean Tech sector as the UK government continues to strengthen it’s support for renewable fuels and biodiesel.
The government introduced RTFO (Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation), in 2007 and requires fuel producers to include and increase the biodiesel content in it’s fossil diesel year on year. Currently, 10% biodiesel is already in UK diesel forecourts, increasing each year.
The government also announced measures and funding during 2009 to aid the industry, raise fuel quality standards and help consumers when considering biodiesel.
